Community Guidelines
Version 1.0. Effective from DD.MM.YYYY. Part of the Terms.
okdate works because people show up and treat each other with respect. These guidelines say what we expect and what we do when someone breaks them.
1. Be yourself
- Your photos show you. At least one clearly shows your face.
- Use your real first name and age. One Account per person.
- Don't impersonate anyone or use other people's photos.
2. Keep your word
- Only post Occasions you intend to honour.
- If you can't make it, cancel in the App as early as possible so the Reserve gets a chance.
- The payment rule of the Occasion (“My treat”, “50/50”, “Your treat”) stands. If anything changes, say so before the meetup.
- A no-show without cancelling lowers your Reliability.
3. Respect
Not allowed:
- harassment, insults, threats and intimidation,
- hate speech: attacking people for their origin, nationality, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or age,
- violence, inciting or glorifying it,
- pushing for a meetup, contact or photos after someone said no,
- sharing other people's data, chat screenshots or photos without consent.
“No” means no, in Chat and after the meetup too.
4. No sexual content, no transactions
- Nudity, sexual content and intimate photos are not allowed, even if the other person asks.
- Offering, seeking or facilitating sexual contact for money, gifts or other benefits, including “sugar” arrangements, is not allowed. We delete such Accounts without warning.
- “My treat” means an invitation to coffee, dinner, a concert or a wedding. It never means an obligation to anything more.
5. Adults only
- okdate is only for people aged 18 and over.
- We have zero tolerance for content sexualising children or attempts to contact minors. We delete such Accounts and report them to law enforcement. See our Child Safety Standards.
- If you think someone in the App is a minor, report them with the “Report” button.
6. Honesty
Not allowed:
- scams, requests for money, loans, codes, card details or investments, including crypto,
- advertising, selling, fundraising and recruiting for other services,
- bots, automated data collection and fake Accounts,
- bypassing security, filters and blocks.
7. Safety at meetups
- Meet in a public place first.
- Send your plan to someone you trust with “Plan for someone you trust”.
- For a private place with an unverified host, the App shows a warning. Read it.
- You don't have to stay if you feel uncomfortable. In an emergency call 112.
- After the meetup, report anything that crossed your boundaries. A post-meetup report suspends the other person's Account until a moderator decides.
8. Reporting and blocking
- The “Report” button is on every card, Profile, Occasion, Status, message and meetup summary. Reports are confidential: the other person won't know who reported them.
- “Block” stops the other person seeing your Profile and messaging you.
- Urgent matters: bezpieczenstwo@okdate.pl. Illegal content reports: https://okdate.pl/en/dsa.
9. What we do when rules are broken
Depending on how serious it is: we remove content, reduce visibility, temporarily block features, suspend or delete the Account. Breaches of sections 4 and 5, violence and threats lead to immediate deletion. We always explain the decision and how to appeal, as set out in sections 12 to 14 of the Terms.
